[Banding Together - 35th Anniversary 2022 Annual Report]([link removed])

As we meet the challenges and opportunities of 2023, we also want to reflect on the important work we've accomplished together over the last year. AFSP's 2022 Annual Report captures the dedication, creativity, and boundless compassion of our staff, volunteers, and partners over this past fiscal year, and throughout the 35 years since the organization's founding in 1987.

In this very special Annual Report, you'll learn how since its inception, AFSP has expanded beyond its initial focus on research to offer educational programming, support for those affected by suicide, advocacy efforts, public awareness campaigns, the Out of the Darkness Walks, and initiatives such as Project 2025 and the Interactive Screening Program. The 2022 Annual Report provides an in-depth look at all the ways we’ve deepened our impact across the country through our nationwide network of local chapters.

You’ll also find inspiring Volunteer Spotlight Stories, captured in both writing and video, that illuminate why our work is so deeply important, and show how individuals have turned heartache to hope. You'll learn about a man who lost his wife of 33 years and now arranges Healing Conversations for more recent survivors of suicide loss; a woman with lived experience who found shared understanding through the Walks; and a military member who lost his friend and mentor, and now serves as the Military and Veteran Outreach Chair for his local chapter. These are just a few of the stories you’ll find here.

None of what we’ve achieved this past year would be possible without your generous support. We encourage you to read, watch, and share this year's Annual Report with others. In revisiting our collective accomplishments, we hope you will be moved and encouraged by the critical work our staff and supporters do in support of our mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
