First, in the primary and general elections, the extreme right wing and
corporate super PACs spent an obscene amount of money attempting to defeat
Summer, but our people-powered movement came through against millions of
dollars from corporate special interests.

Then, at the start of the 118th Congress, Republican extremists held the
House Speaker position hostage for four days until their demands were met,
effectively halting any work in the House and delaying important work for
constituents.

Now, Summer will be up against white supremacist super-villains like
Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebert, Paul Gosar, and George Santos who
have been given very powerful appointments to the Oversight and Science
committees as a reward for finally giving their votes to elect Kevin
McCarthy for House Speaker.

We’re sounding the alarm: Unqualified far-right conspiracy theorists,
habitual liars, and insurrectionists are being given extreme
decision-making power that will affect every single person in the United
States. 

They will do everything they can to undermine our democracy and halt
