“Virginia House passes Republican proposals for tighter voting laws” - WAVY
Team,
Republican anti-voting efforts are still running rampant. Here in Virginia, the Republican-led House of Delegates just passed bills to ban ballot drop boxes and shorten the period for early in-person voting to just two weeks.
Voting rights – the very fabric of our democracy – are still under attack. Whether it’s at home in Richmond or on the Senate floor in Washington, D.C., Republicans are going to continue to do everything they can to oppose voting rights legislation Democrats bring to the table.
My priority this year is to make certain that every American has the right to vote. But I can’t do it alone.
We need to reach our end-of-month goal to win in November and keep up this work. Can you contribute $5 to help fight this battle? [link removed]
Your support is crucial to our fight to preserve our democracy. It is long past time we take federal action to protect our fundamental right to vote and ensure that our democracy remains strong.
That’s why I’ve introduced and supported legislation including the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, among other pro-democracy legislation – because our democracy can’t wait.
This fight isn’t over yet – particularly with a Republican-led House. Will you step up today and donate $5? [link removed]
Thank you,
Mark Warner
