Dear John -- Three years means different things to many people. For some, it’s the time it takes to obtain a college or graduate degree. For others, it’s the time it takes to build a small business. For Jaime Herrera Beutler, it’s 1,095 days of missed opportunities to listen to and elevate her constituents’ voices. Our voices. John, I’m writing you because today is the third anniversary of Jaime’s last in-person town hall. And I’m asking you to fight for real representation in Southwest Washington.
When I think about the campaign we’re building together, I am most proud of our ability to be accessible and transparent -- to emulate the type of representative that Carolyn will be. Every time there’s a chance to do so, we make sure to include you. We make sure to hear you. It’s clear that our opponent’s priorities could not be more different. That’s why we’re in this fight, and that’s why we need you to help us continue down a strong path toward progress. John, will you stand strong with #TeamLong?
I’ll say this again: For too long now, Southwest Washington has been left behind by an absent representative. Instead of listening to us here at home, Jaime has been listening to DC lobbyists, taking their money and marching orders, and voting nearly 40 times to gut protections for those with pre-existing conditions. From all of us -- thanks again for all you do, -- Abby |
