As we enter 2020, UNICEF took a look back at the past decade for children living in conflict. Since 2010, the United Nations confirmed more than 170,000 grave violations against children, with over 10,000 violations occurring in 2019 alone. As we enter a new decade, UNICEF will continue to aid and protect children caught in the crosshairs of war. |

Promoting peace through video games |
Lual Mayen's life changed forever when, at 7 years old, he saw his first computer. A former refugee from South Sudan, he is now a game developer in Washington, D.C. His new game "Salaam," which means "peace" in Arabic, was released last month. Lual hopes the game will help raise awareness and empathy for others trying to escape conflict. |
