This is serious, friend. EWG scientists have found that consuming a single freshwater fish per year could be equal to one month of drinking water contaminated with harmful PFOS, one of the infamously dangerous “forever chemicals” known as PFAS. But the American Chemistry Council, the chemical industry’s lobbying front-group, is calling the news around our report “inaccurate”, “unscientific” and accusing the media of “creating unnecessary alarm.” Chemical giants like DuPont and 3M have known these chemicals were toxic since the 1960s, and EWG has been sounding the alarm on dangerous PFAS for decades. Finally the media and the government are taking notice and creating change. We can’t let the chemical industry stop our progress. We need 5,322 of our top supporters to rush a donation before midnight tonight to help us fend off industry attacks and continue our work on PFAS chemicals. Can we count on you to step up? |
