Vince Vaughn, Thanks for Talking with Trump. Ignore the Leftist Mob and Keep Showing Us Civility

By: Jim Daly

It was a familiar scene at a sporting event – amidst the action on the field, there’s amiable banter in the stands between fans. Catching up and carrying on, a pastime older than sports itself.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Unless you’re actor Vince Vaughn who happens to be caught on video talking with President and Mrs. Trump at the national championship college football game in New Orleans, La.

Twitter blew up Monday night after Timothy Burke, a former Deadspin employee, posted the short video, which was taken between the action of LSU’s 45-25 win over Clemson.

It’s not known what was being discussed between the two men, but judging from the smiles and the handshakes it’s clear that the conversation between the popular actor and the Trumps was friendly. Although not previously associated with the nation’s 45th chief executive, Vaughn’s libertarian politics are well-established.

Criticism ran the gamut from the petty to the personal.

Canada Using Assisted Suicide to Help Increase the Number of Organ Donations
By: Brittany Raymer

According to Ottawa Citizen, the Government of Ontario’s organ donation organization Trillium Gift of Life is increasingly turning to assisted suicide patients in order to increase their numbers. This is a disturbing and macabre trend.

“The decision to pursue MAiD (medical aid in dying or assisted suicide) is totally separate from the decision to donate organs,” Ronnie Gavsie said. He’s the chief executive officer of Trillium Gift of Life Network, which procures organ donation from those who are allowed to commit assisted suicide. “But we do want patients to have their last will carried out.”

Tennessee County Clerks Should Not Issue Same-Sex Marriage Licenses, Lawyer Advises
By: Bruce Hausknecht

David Fowler is a lawyer, a former Tennessee state legislator, the head of the Family Action Council of Tennessee (FACT) – a Focus on the Family-affiliated state group – and a tireless advocate for traditional marriage. He is leading the fight in Tennessee to push back on the conventional wisdom that the Supreme Court’s 2015 same-sex marriage ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges somehow forced a change in Tennessee’s constitution that defines marriage as between one man and one woman. The Daily Citizen has previously reported on his efforts to educate and motivate the public and the legislature on the limits of the Obergefell ruling.

Recently, Fowler made waves for penning a letter to every county clerk in the state, advising them that they should not issue same-sex marriage licenses, because the Tennessee state constitution recognizes only opposite-sex marriage.

Abortionist Experiments with Poison on Preborn Babies to Study Its Effects

By: Brittany Raymer

Dr. Jennifer Kerns. I’ve read a lot of studies about abortion, so I knew that her name was on something I’ve read before and I was sure she was an abortionist. In order to confirm, I decided to Google her to see if my hunch was correct or not. It was, but that wasn’t what surprised or disturbed me. It was the study she had recently completed.

According to clinicalstudies.gov, Dr. Kern’s most recent study, which concluded in October, was designed “to measure the effect of digoxin injection on Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) procedure duration.” It means that she was testing how poisoning a preborn baby with digoxin would impact the time it took her to remove and dismember the now dead preborn baby from the womb.

Former NFL Athlete Turned ALS Advocate Steve Gleason Receives Congressional Gold Medal
By: Zachary Mettler

Steve Gleason received the Congressional Gold Medal on Wednesday. Gleason played in the National Football League as a safety for the New Orleans Saints until he retired in 2008. He was then diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease) in 2011 and has since become an outspoken advocate for others suffering from the disease.

The Congressional Gold Medal, along with the Presidential Medal of Freedom are the highest civilian awards that can be bestowed in the United States. The only difference between the two is who awards the medal, Congress or the President.
