I hate to email you with bad news, John, but I’m afraid I didn’t have any other choice...

Here’s the truth: January is on track to be one of Democracy Defense Fund’s WORST fundraising months since we launched our pro-democracy movement last April.

But we really can’t afford to stop fighting now, John. Republicans have re-gained House control and far-right extremists like Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis have raised millions of dollars for their upcoming 2024 campaigns.

So now I’m asking for YOUR help. Will you add a $5, $10 or $25 grassroots donation before our End-of-Month deadline? Without a fundraising surge before Tuesday, we’ll be unable to invest in the pro-democracy candidates who need our help ASAP.

I know media outlets and political pundits like to use the term “off year” to describe what happens in odd-numbered years that don’t include Congressional races.

But we can’t afford an “off year,” John—at least not if we want to save our democracy from the far-right, GOP extremists who are ready and willing to tear it apart.

In order to protect the right to vote, defend abortion rights, support free and fair elections, and hold anti-democracy extremists accountable, we can’t miss a SINGLE fundraising goal.

And we definitely can’t have our worst fundraising month EVER just as 2023 begins.

We need to match the far-right, anti-democracy movement dollar for dollar, John. So, will you chip in $25 or more right away to help us get our fundraising numbers back on track and protect American democracy?
