Here at Defend the Senate, we work to support Democratic candidates running in battleground races.

Some of our work involves running TV ads across the country. It can cost anywhere from tens of thousands of dollars to millions of dollars in the run-up to Election Day.

The country is split up into 210 media markets — sorted by population. The larger the media market, the more expensive it can be to run an ad.

Here’s where it gets important: In the coming election, we have Senate races up in some of the 10 largest media markets.
