This week’s Newsmaker Interview… Second-term Republican
Representative Cyndy Jacobsen (25th LD) joined us to discuss her bill to allow the state to rehire state workers fired by Jay Inslee when he abused
his emergency powers by dictating the firing unvaccinated state employees COVID. She also discussed her bill to improve safety in our schools and the
proposal to provide more educational options to families by having the state fund the student and not the schools.

Representative Mary Dye (R – Pomeroy) wrote an insightful editorial on her proposal for to improve the lives of boys and men in our
state. Rep. Dye outlined how the percentage of boys and men struggling with homelessness, suicide, and drug addiction far outweighs girls and women.
She explained how her legislation creating a Washington State Commission on Boys and Men – the first of its kind in the nation – could
help stop this destructive pattern and help lift “our male population toward better, happier, and successful lives.”

In a slap in the face to all truthful veterans, Democrat Speaker of the House Laurie Jinkins appointed fellow Democrat and admitted liar
Representative Clyde Shavers to the State House Committee for Veterans Affairs. The ethically challenged Shavers made headlines late in the 2022
election cycle for lying about his military service, among other things. Mainstream media outlets made sure to sit on the story long enough to ensure
it would not impact his election. It now appears the Democrat machine is further rewarding this miscreant for his appalling lies – and the media
doesn’t see a problem.

In seriously under-reported news, legislative leaders from both the Republican and Democrat caucuses
in Olympia recently participated in a press event to answer questions that should be front-and-center for Washington State residents. Jay Inslee even
showed up to share his “wisdom.” The press conference made it clear that Democrats believe voters gave them a mandate to implement their
terrible ideas and irresponsible policies – all of which culminate into tax increases. Is that what you read in the mainstream media?
