On Saturday afternoon, Maine Republicans voted to oust longtime GOP Chair Demi Kouzounas. Instead, the GOP State Committee elected former legislator Joel Stetkis of Cannan. Here are 4 facts you should know about the Maine GOP’s incoming chair:

the

vaccines

Opposed
legislation
to
help
working
Mainers
and
fought
to
kill
a
proposal
that
would
increase
the
state’s
minimum
wage

conspiracy
theories
about
the
January
6th
insurrection
,
including
falsely
claiming
that
anti-fascist
activists
were
responsible
for
the
violence
during
at
the
capitol

told
State
Committee
members
that
Stetkis
is
too
extreme
to
lead
the
Maine
GOP
