John, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of the support
and kind words I’ve received since we launched our Senate campaign. This
team has had my back through thick and thin, and as we embark on a new
challenge, I can’t help but reflect on all that we’ve accomplished until
now.

Over and over again, this grassroots team has shown up for me, for our
democracy, and for our country during the most pivotal moments in modern
history. In 2020, you raised millions to help elect President Biden,
protect our majority in the House, and secure the Senate by the slimmest
margin possible.

You did that.

Then in 2021, you helped raise over $500,000 to stop the Republican-led
recall of California Governor Gavin Newsom. And whenever Donald Trump,
Kevin McCarthy, or their Fox News mouthpieces launched a new attack
against me, you have stood at the ready to help me respond. You did that.

John, I’ll never take your support for granted because I know
how lucky I am to have a grassroots team as passionate and courageous as
this one backing me and our democracy every step of the way.

As my Senate campaign gets up and running, I’m going to be counting on you
more and more. I’m not taking a dime in corporate PAC money, and
Republicans are going to do everything in their power to keep me away from
the Senate. It’s only a matter of time before Donald Trump and his cronies
go after me.
