Big Pharma is trying to quadruple the price of the COVID vaccine. 

Taxpayer dollars went into every aspect of COVID vaccine development and
production, and for good reason. But now Big Pharma wants to quadruple the
price of the vaccine, even after they’ve made tens of billions in profit. 

Just two vaccine manufacturers control 97% of the market. The lack of
competition in the industry allows corporations to pull BS like this:
ripping off taxpayers and preventing Americans from accessing lifesaving
drugs. That’s why Katie has worked on legislation to prevent this type of
price gouging.

In better news: Katie’s bill to punish drug companies if they raise drug
prices faster than the rate of inflation was signed into law last year and
took effect on January 1st. But if it would have been law earlier, it
would have saved taxpayers $3.7 BILLION from 2018-2020.
