Hi,

When Democrats controlled the House, they voted to remove MAGA extremists Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar from their respective committees because of Greene and Gosar’s support for political violence. But now, the GOP is preparing to give them their committee seats back, including on the powerful House Oversight committee.1

Greene was removed from her committees one month after her election for statements in support of political violence and racist and anti-semitic conspiracy theories.2 Gosar was removed after sharing a cartoon depicting him murdering AOC and attacking President Biden.3 Their histories of inciting political violence and their ties to the violent January 6th insurrection are good reasons for the House of Representatives to punish them.

Sign the petition: Keep Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar off the House Oversight committee and all other committees.

The January 6th insurrection was a violent right-wing attempt to overthrow the government. Greene and Gosar’s close ties to the January 6th attack and their espousal of racist, anti-semitic conspiracy theories used historically as a basis for violence make them an appropriate target for congressional disapproval.

They don’t belong on committees, especially when they have shown themselves unwilling to peaceably participate in our democracy.

Sign the petition: MAGA extremists tied to the political violence of January 6th should not be on House committees.

Thanks for taking action,

Tihi and the team at Demand Progress
