Have you heard of PFAS, John?
Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are human-made chemicals that are linked with kidney and testicular cancer, ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, high cholesterol, and infertility. They’ve been widely used in household products since the 1940’s – and have contaminated the water and soil of millions of Americans.
This is becoming an urgent public health crisis, and that’s why Matt was proud to vote for the PFAS Action Act of 2019 that would finally regulate PFAS chemicals, clean up contamination, and protect public health.
