Lesko Discusses Arizona Water

I met with the Irrigation and Electrical Districts Association of Arizona to discuss addressing the water shortage in Arizona and ensuring that Arizonans have reliable and affordable power sources.

Lesko Supports Arizona Medicare Participants

I met with Dr. Richard Guarino from the American Chiropractic Association to discuss how we can support Medicare participants in Arizona! 

Lesko Supports Broadband

Great to meet with ACA Connects to discuss the need for expanding broadband and ensuring that Arizona receives proper funding for its broadband infrastructure!

I spoke to the Parental Rights Foundation to discuss my Constitutional Amendment to protect parental rights. I will continue to fight for parents’ fundamental right to have a say in their kids’ education!

Lesko Appointed to Key COVID Oversight Panel

This week, I was honored to be selected by Speaker Kevin McCarthy to serve on the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Three years ago, COVID-19 was unleashed on the world. As a result, federal, state, and local governments in the U.S. imposed harsh lockdowns that shuttered Americans’ livelihoods, set children back in school, and infringed on our civil liberties. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues to investigate the origins of COVID-19 and the federal government’s response to deliver the answers and accountability the American people deserve.

Lesko Selected for Powerful E&C Subcommittees; Vice Chair of Oversight and Investigations

I was selected to serve on the Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security and the Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce. I was also named Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations for the House Energy and Commerce Committee for the 118^th Congress.

I am honored to serve as the Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations alongside Chairman Morgan Griffith (R-VA). We are committed to holding Big Tech companies accountable for targeting and silencing conservative voices. We will also hold the Biden Administration accountable for its disastrous energy policies that have undermined our energy security, and the FDA for failing to address the baby formula shortage and allowing women to access dangerous abortion pills over the counter. We will also be investigating the CDC for its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and its pandemic policies that eroded the freedoms and livelihoods of the American people.

I am proud to once again serve on the Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security. I am excited to continue to advance an “All of the Above” energy approach to reduce costs for American consumers, provide clean and reliable energy solutions for Arizonans, and unleash American energy independence.

I am also pleased to once again serve on the Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to oversee the travel and tourism industry, an important aspect of Arizona’s growing economy. One of my other top priorities on this committee is unleashing American innovation to compete and win against Communist China.

GET THE FACTS: President Biden's Historic Border Crisis

Since President Biden took office, his open border policies have unleashed an unprecedented humanitarian crisis that has jeopardized the safety of every single American. In two years, over 4.7 million illegal migrant apprehensions have occurred at our southern border. December 2022 set a 22-year record high for monthly crossings with 251,487 illegal migrant crossings. For the second month in a row, there were more than 70,000 known gotaways at the southern border in December 2022. Even worse, there were 17 people on the Terrorist Screening Database apprehended in the same month. This is unquestionably a national security risk. What's more, between November and December 2022, U.S. Customs and Border Protection's seizure of deadly fentanyl increased by more than 50%. House Republicans are working to combat this administration's failed policies and end the crisis at the southern border. We must reinstate President Trump's successful 'Remain in Mexico' policy. As your representative, I will continue to stand up for the safety and security of Arizonans and advance real solutions to secure the southern border.

Monica from our office presented John Metzger with a Congressional Recognition for his work to support our military service members and first responders! He also served as a firefighter in Sun City, AZ. Thank you for your selfless service to our community!

Austin from our office attended the ribbon cutting of Grand Express Wash’s new location in Peoria, AZ. Happy to have you in Arizona’s 8^th Congressional District!

Monica from our office attended the grand opening for the newest location of Lucky’s Pizza in Peoria, AZ. Congratulations! 

Monica from our office attended the grand re-opening of The Auberge in Peoria, AZ, which provides important care for the seniors in our community. Happy to have you in Arizona’s 8^th Congressional District!

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office after waiting over six months to receive his 2021 tax refund. Our casework team contacted the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and requested that the constituent’s refund be released. Shortly after, the IRS located the return and ensured that it was processed, and the constituent received his refund.
