Friend -- in the 2018 elections, the American people sent a clear message: They wanted leaders accountable to voters and not to those who could write the biggest checks.

That's why I have never have, and never will, accept a dime from special interests, PACs, or federal lobbyists. It's why I've been working since my first day in Congress to fight the influence of dark money, achieve campaign finance reform, and put power back in the hands of you, the people. Because that's where it belongs.

Now, I'm thrilled to share that I've received an A+ from the End Citizens United Action Fund -- the organization dedicated to getting dark money out of politics for good!

If there's one thing I've learned in my last year in Congress, it's this: no matter what your number one priority might be, campaign finance reform needs to be your number two.

As long as dark money has a stranglehold on our political system, our progress will be blocked at every single step.

I know that my votes to stop entrenched interests from rigging the system in their favor have made me a target. Special interests will spend millions in our election to make sure that we can't keep making progress on this critical issue.

But we've proved before that it's people -- not PACs or dark money -- that will carry us to victory. Now, I need your help to prove that it wasn't a fluke.
