Quickly -- we want to bring you up to speed on the state of Sherrod’s race:

FIRST: The NRSC launched its first negative digital ads in Ohio targeting Sherrod.

THEN: Sherrod’s first opponent -- a wealthy state senator who ran in last year’s Ohio Senate contest -- jumped into our race.

NOW: The first end-of-month deadline is a few days away.

We told you -- it was only a matter of time before opponents and outside money started showing up in our race. This will be one of the most competitive races in the country. We can expect even more opponents to challenge Sherrod, even more money to be spent, and even more attack ads.
