National Journal Hotline captured those core values and what this race means for CA-47 in a recent publication:

In the State Senate, Dave has authored legislation to combat anti-Asian hate, fight for gun safety legislation to keep families safe, and protect reproductive rights.
Dave is proud of his heritage and the work he’s done in the State Senate. Now, he’s ready to put in the work and reach out to AAPI voters all across our district.
That means meeting voters where they are, communicating with folks in different languages, and talking about the issues that matter most to CA-47.
