John, Kevin McCarthy has already started his assault on public lands.

Yesterday, House Republicans passed a bill that would undermine the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) and put our national security at risk in a foolhardy effort to try and open up more federal lands for oil and gas drilling.

John, this is unacceptable. Speaker McCarthy and the GOP are willing to put our economy, our country, and our planet all on the line in order to help fossil fuel donors. That’s why our SEEC Members are fighting for sustainability policies in Congress. Can you chip in now to support their work? [[link removed]]

DONATE [[link removed]]This bill is designed to severely limit Biden’s authority to tap into the SPR unless a plan is produced to increase oil and gas leasing on federal plans. They don’t want Biden to use our reserves to help the American people, like he did after Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. They want to make his hands tied and force their “drill baby drill” agenda by any means necessary.

John, this is only the beginning. Speaker McCarthy and his Big Oil donors already have a series of bad bills lined up to stop our transition to clean energy in order to line their own pockets.

SEEC members are fighting back against oil drilling projects on public lands. Can you make a donation to support them as they fight back against McCarthy’s pro-drilling agenda? [[link removed]]
