We've set a goal of raising $8,000 by midnight on January 31 and here's
why it's so important that we reach this benchmark:
1. As a grassroots funded campaign, Jamaal refuses to take a single dime
from Corporate PACs because our campaign is built on people power. His
goal is to be a voice for our progressive values, not the
self-centered interests of actors who are working against our vision.
2. 2023 is already proving to be a whirlwind of a year — from
Congressional session setbacks to moderate Democrats already funneling
in millions to unseat progressive leaders. And it's up to us to stop
them.
3. Our ability to fundraise plays a direct role in our efforts to plan
for the future of our campaign. We have the people power, but we need
the tools and resources to organize and fight for our rights —
together.
These first 28 days of 2023 have proven that there's no such thing as an
"off-year." We need to be prepared to fight back against our opposition at
any moment while continuing to amplify our progressive values both in and
out of Congress.
