A dangerous Republican AG candidate just got a national spotlight.
Friend,
Remember Sigal Chattah? She was the hardline Republican who ran for attorney general in Nevada — and said that AG Ford should be “hanging from a crane.” Thanks to your help, she lost decisively last fall.
Well, we have some bad news: Chattah has just been elected the national representative to the Republican National Committee. That means she’ll play a major role in electing the RNC chair and shaping the party’s priorities.
Right-wing extremists like Chattah shouldn’t have any sort of power at all, friend. No doubt that she will use this new platform as a stepping stone to try to run for office again down the road.
Chattah’s views on immigration, voter suppression, and reproductive rights are deeply concerning and go against everything we stand for. Chattah lost the Nevada AG race because her views are unpopular and dangerous. And while we beat her at the ballot box once, we can’t risk her platform becoming any more influential.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
