I joined my colleague Congressman Brad Finstad at Minnesota’s annual March for Life gathering in Saint Paul on Sunday. While we are coming off a historic year for our movement with the overturning of Roe, we know there is still more work to be done. We all saw how Democrats in the legislature advanced one of the most abhorrent abortion bills in the nation. Our fight for life must and will continue in courts, legislatures, and at the ballot box every November.
In a recent speech, Vice President Kamala Harris quoted the Declaration of Independence in a speech that conveniently and intentionally left out the "right to life." It’s unfortunate that Democrats refuse to acknowledge that our founding fathers intended to defend our God-given right to life. Thankfully, the American people elected a pro-life conservative majority. The pro-life movement is stronger than ever and can’t be ignored. Our work to protect life in Congress will continue to change hearts and minds.
On Thursday, the Biden administration announced a ridiculous 20-year moratorium on mining in our state’s iron range. While they claim this is to protect the environment, the minerals in question are vital in any supposed transition to clean energy. Instead, this administration is comfortable funding overseas mining operations in China while stifling domestic energy production. Democrats seem content with strangling our resource production, hurting American families, and helping China dominate global mineral markets.
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support!
