Why has President Biden taken so long to remove Cuba from the state sponsor of terrorism list? Tell Biden we need a Cuba policy based on engagement, not confrontation!

Dear John,
Joe Biden has now entered his second year in office and still hasn’t used his executive power to undo many of Trump’s harmful policies towards Cuba, including removing Cuba from the state sponsor of terrorism list. Tell Biden that he needs to prioritize Cuba and remove it from the state sponsors of terrorism list! <[link removed]>
Removing Cuba from this list would be easy and would facilitate the island’s ability to receive humanitarian assistance, promote its tourism and revive its economy but Biden has been dragging his feet while Cuba experiences one of its worst economic and humanitarian crises.
Fortunately, we are not alone in our demands for better relations with Cuba. The Biden administration has become increasingly isolated in its support for Trump’s outdated policy. Over 100 lawyers signed a letter urging Biden to lift Cuba's SSOT designation, as there is no legal justification. In addition, all 33 Latin American and Caribbean nations demanded Cuba be removed from thestate sponsors of terrorism list at the CELAC Heads of State Summit in Buenos Aires. Tell Biden to listen to the international community and its citizens and lift Cuba’s terrorist designation! <[link removed]>
We must build support for removing Cuba from the terror list by getting our members of congress on board in this fight. This is why we are joining ACERE in an advocacy teach-in on January 31st to launch a digital toolkit and campaign to call on our members of congress to pressure Biden to remove Cuba from the terrorist list. This teach-in will provide guidance and tips on reaching out to members of Congress.
Biden needs to know that the time has come to #LetCubaLive!
In radical solidarity,
Medea, Samantha, Michelle and Teri
