I'm reaching out to ask you to make a $5 donation ahead of next week’s end-of-month fundraising deadline.

To be completely transparent, we're pacing behind our fundraising target this month, so I want to briefly explain why your donation today would mean so much:

The good news is that we've been making incredible headway in my first month in Congress. We've hired in-district staff and have already begun constituent casework. I was also just named to two major House committees (more on that soon).

The bad news is I've been so focused on congressional duties that I've had less time to fundraise for my reelection effort. That's not ideal given how competitive this race will be in 2024.

Tallying strong fundraising numbers now will go a long way in warding off potential Republican challengers and may even help prevent national super PACs from attacking me. They'll see us as too formidable and not worth the expense. That's why this goal is so important:

It took a wave of grassroots support to overcome the well-funded, far-right attacks against us.
