Americans are rightly concerned that their federal government is being weaponized against them. After more than 100 attacks against churches and pro-life resource centers following the Dobbs leak, the Department of Justice has only made two arrests relating to these (and it took them many months to even do that).

We have also seen the Department of Justice involved in a scheme to list parents as potential domestic terrorists for daring to speak out against things like LGBT indoctrination in the classroom, and we have seen heavy handed law enforcement tactics against pro-life activists. The list could go on and on. Americans have had enough.

That's why the newly elected House majority created the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government--to review the federal government's misbehavior and lack of action, and to offer solutions so that the American people can have confidence that their federal government is not being turned against them.

The Biden administration has brazenly demonstrated a willingness to weaponize the federal government. This targeting of parents, political opponents, conservatives, and others must stop. Americans elected a new majority in the US House of Representatives to bring some accountability to a federal government that has clearly gone off the rails. Americans expect their federal government to address their concerns about the gross sexualization of children in public schools - instead they were listed as potential domestic terrorists. They expect their federal government to respect the rights of states to make and enforce laws restricting the horror of abortion - not promise lawfare against pro-life states and activists.

We support the members of the newly formed House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government in their work to examine how this weaponization of federal authority began.

We ask that this new select subcommittee put forth concrete proposals to correct this out-of-control federal government; and,

We ask that this new select subcommittee address ways in which Congress can ensure the weaponization of the federal government cannot happen again.
