"A White House stamp of approval! Helen’s law protecting renters is now enshrined in a national Renters Bill of Rights"
“Philadelphia is a model for the nation because we took one of our most challenging crises and found powerful local solutions,” said Helen Gym. “I could not be more honored that eviction diversion is now considered a fundamental tenant protection by the Biden White House. It’s how cities can and must lead.”

John — Did you hear? The White House just made Helen’s law protecting renters a cornerstone of its national Renters Bill of Rights. Now people all across the nation will be protected from eviction as a result of Helen’s work here in Philadelphia.
Helen Gym is the best candidate for Mayor because she fixes problems and creates solutions that work for the nation. No other candidate for Mayor influences local and national policy more than Helen.
January is the first month of the 2023 election. Can you pitch in today and send a message that Philadelphia needs a real problem solver and visionary leader like Helen Gym for Mayor? [[link removed]]

Helen Gym knows that solutions don’t start in DC. They start right here at home.
That’s why when evictions turned the lives of everyday Philadelphians upside down, she got to work and built one of the most successful eviction prevention programs in the country. Her eviction diversion law provides rent assistance and trained mediation so landlords and tenants can find solutions before an eviction is filed.
That’s how evictions were slashed by almost two-thirds in one of the poorest cities in the country.
The New York Times called Helen’s law an “elegant solution” and the White House invited Helen to speak at a national summit on model eviction prevention. Now the White House just issued a national Renters Bill of Rights which includes Helen’s eviction diversion law to protect people from being unnecessarily evicted.
The White House has been inspired by Helen’s work in Philadelphia. If you’re inspired too by this movement and Helen’s groundbreaking work, make a contribution today. [[link removed]]
