The new site lays out the full AFSCME 2020 agenda and process for endorsing a presidential candidate.

Dear Friend,

AFSCME members will have a voice in 2020. As we face a critical election that could decide the direction of our country for decades to come, the people who keep America running are going to stand up and speak out.

We work every day to make our communities safer, healthier and stronger. And because we're in a union, we get the respect we deserve for the work we do. We know what our nation needs from its leaders. And that’s why AFSCME members will be a force in the 2020 elections.

Today, you can get started working with your fellow AFSCME members to speak out in 2020 by visiting the AFSCME 2020 presidential election website: standupforpublicservice.org.

To date, AFSCME has not endorsed a 2020 presidential candidate. This site lays out AFSCME’s full process for endorsing a candidate for the White House and has a member survey so you can be part of the process.

It includes the full AFSCME 2020 agenda, priorities chosen by members just like you to guide our union’s focus as we campaign throughout the next year.

And if you missed our presidential forum, where 19 candidates for the White House spoke out about the issues that matter to people working in public service, you’ve got to see it. We had the opportunity to ask candidates directly about the issues that really matter. It’s all available on standupforpublicservice.org.

This next election is coming quicker than you think. We need to organize. We need to energize. We need to mobilize.

Visit standupforpublicservice.org to make sure you have a voice in this election.

In solidarity,

Lee Saunders
AFSCME President
