Hey there, can I quickly explain something?
Growing up, I was never “cool.” I was the skinny kid with Coke-bottle glasses and a funny last name. After I got laid off as a geologist, I opened the first brewpub in Denver. I pluck the banjo and I like corny jokes (personally, I think they’re hilarious).
I’m not your typical politician. I ended up in politics because I believed I could make a difference. I was sick and tired of special interests taking advantage of working families and holding up the progress that most Americans want, so I decided to do something about it.
When I was first sworn in as your Senator, I promised to end the gridlock in Washington and find commonsense solutions to help Coloradans. I’m proud to say we’ve gotten a lot done over the past two years — from lowering prescription drug costs and rebuilding our infrastructure, to taking historic action on climate change and bringing manufacturing jobs back to the US. But some of our most important fights are still ahead of us.
I'll be frank, folks, 2024 is going to be a tough one. National Republicans are already placing ad buys in battleground states as they seek to take back our slim Senate majority, and if Mitch McConnell reclaims the gavel, there’s no doubt in my mind he’ll roll back the progress we’ve made so far — and all that we’ll make this year. We can’t let that happen.
Next week, we’re facing our first critical FEC end-of-month deadline of the 2024 election. Will you make a donation right now to support our work protecting and expanding our Senate majority?
