To put matters clearly, the school board of one of Pennsylvania’s largest school districts is working with a Christian nationalist hate group to ban LGBTQ+ books.

The same school district is already under federal investigation and a suit by the ACLU for creating a hostile environment for LGBTQ+ youth.

We have been appalled to see this happen to the members of one of our focus communities — and we are not sitting idly by. While the justice system has its part to play, real change must come at the ballot box.
