Folks — The cost of insulin in America is out of control, and it’s putting Coloradans, especially those on fixed incomes, at risk.
That’s why I led the fight to cap the cost of insulin as part of the Inflation Reduction Act , and this month that cap went into effect for millions of senior citizens. As of January 1, Medicare recipients won’t pay more than $35/month for their insulin prescription.
My work does not stop here – because I believe no one , regardless of age or income, should have to choose between paying for insulin and paying for groceries.
Last year, Senator Raphael Warnock and I introduced The Affordable Insulin Now Act to cap ALL patients’ out pocket costs for insulin at $35 per month.
Passing this bill and capping insulin prices for everyone won’t be easy, but I truly believe that if enough of us stand behind it we will get this done. I need you to sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of my plan to cap insulin prices for all.
Please add your name alongside mine to call on Congress to cap insulin prices for everyone. Each signature brings us a tiny bit closer to lowering healthcare costs for millions of Americans with diabetes.
