Long before the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, anti-choice forces eroded protections for safe and legal abortion—particularly for women of color, women living in poverty, LGBTQIA+ folks, survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and others already facing hurdles to accessing healthcare.
Roe was a groundbreaking milestone in the movement for abortion access, but it was never meant to be the endpoint. We can forge a better and more equitable future with abortion access for all.
Now, we must harness our momentum to beat back ongoing anti-choice attacks and move forward legislation and policies to restore access to abortion services and the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare in EVERY state.
