If you’ve been following along, you already know that the first iteration of the Peace Education and Action for Impact Projectwas a huge success. Building upon the incredible work across the world that the program accomplished (including impacting young people, organizations, and communities in 12 countries), World BEYOND War and the Rotary Action Group for Peace are including more young people in more countries this year.
This is your chance to have a direct impact on peacebuilding efforts in Haiti, Iraq, and the Philippines. These three countries still need funding to include 10 of their peacebuilding young people and arguably, they are some of the list of countries at present that direly need this work (other 2023 participant countries include Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Guernsey). We need to help raise $2500 for all three of these countries to participate in the program which builds skills, changes hearts and minds about our reliance on violence, strengthens global peace networks, and implements peacebuilding actions in local communities. Just $300 covers the full costs of a young person to go through the 18-week program (9-weeks of peace education and 9-weeks of peace action including mentorship and support).

Our project, in collaboration with the Rotary Action Group for Peace, can shift the political and social landscape for youth in countries like Haiti, the Philippines, and Iraq by making this a moment of hope, growth, and an opportunity for change. And you have the chance to help make that happen.
