Children and young people cycling survey

As part of a new research project with Manchester Metropolitan University, British Cycling want to hear from children and young people aged 9-18 – regardless of their experience – to take a short survey to help us to better understand their motivations, barriers, and engagement with cycling activities.

So if you know anyone under 18, please ask them to take part, you’ll be playing your part in getting more young people into cycling both now and in the future – so thank you! And they’ll be entered to win a £100 amazon gift voucher, too.

Have your say on the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan🚲

The LCWIP identifies the routes for which we would like to see investment in cycling and walking improvements over the next 15 years, across the whole D2N2 area covering Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derby and Derbyshire.

The plan will then be used to support funding bids in order to develop and deliver the new infrastructure.

This is your opportunity to comment on the content of the LCWIP and let us know if you support our joint ambitions by completing the online survey which can be found here. It will remain open until 8 March 2023, so please ensure you respond by this date.

Linking up City Centre Cycling Routes🚲

🚴‍♀️ Works have kicked off at the Station Street/London Road junction on the latest phase of our City Centre Cycle routes, linking the east and west of the city with safe segregated cycling infrastructure.

Various, mainly off-peak lane closures will be required throughout the project as we complete the project to join the segregated cycleways nearby and install marked on road cycle lanes through the junction, improve pedestrian crossing facilities and more.
