88TH TEXAS LEGISLATIVE SESSION UPDATE:
'School Choice' Put on the Agenda!

The Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) meets this month for the first time in 2023. The meeting will be held January 31- February 3.

Last year, SBOE made it a legislative priority to oppose measures that would support “school choice.” Specifically, the SBOE voted to oppose “any attempts to divert public dollars away from public schools” and place more red tape requirements on charter schools.

Texas Values supporters contacted Governor Abbott & Texas SBOE Chairman Keven Ellis to have 'School Choice' added to the agenda. We are happy to announce that because of YOU it's been ADDED!

Texas Values, along with many parents and other policy groups, are working hard this legislative session to make sure school choice initiatives are passed.
