John, the 2022 midterm elections made it clear that, in states where the NDRC’s grassroots movement has helped secure fair maps, Democrats can win tough races.
But while our grassroots movement helped secure fair maps in states like Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Michigan, and more, maps in too many other states like Florida, Ohio, Texas, and too many others, are still gerrymandered. That’s why our work must continue.
He’s right! Democrats have shown that, when they have the opportunity to compete on a level playing field, they can beat the odds, defy history, and win. That’s why, in 2023, we must keep fighting – state by state, and across the country – to defeat GOP efforts to rig maps and undermine our democracy.
