The last time I stood in the well of the Senate, I was making the case against the most corrupt president in the history of our country, during his Senate impeachment trial.

The same disgraced, twice-impeached ex-president who is already running again in 2024 — Donald J. Trump.

We’ve seen many more of his abuses of office in the years since. Abuses that have shaken our democracy, and the Senate chamber, to its very core. Like the incitement of a vicious attack on the Capitol on January 6th.

I believe in my heart that the future of our democracy hinges on this next election in 2024. That’s why I’m wasting no time and building a Senate campaign to save it.
