Thank You for Supporting Children and Families Thank you to everyone who stepped forward and donated as part of our Giving Tuesday and End of Year fundraising campaigns! Your outpouring of support was truly inspiring.

With your donations we exceeded our 2022 end of year goal of $20,000 and used every penny of the matching funds from our anonymous generous donor! Thank you for helping us end the year on a high note and start off the new year ready to serve more children and families.

Celebrating a Milestone for Families & ChildrenThanks to dedicated outreach efforts of supporters and advocates like you, Congress recently reauthorized and expanded the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program as part of its end-of-year budget package, which will provide critical home visiting services to more than 140,000 families and children across the country.

In addition to MIECHV reauthorization, Congress’ final package included several other key increased investments in early childhood programs and services, such as child care, mental health, preschool and services for children with developmental delays and disabilities.

Help All Children ThriveEach year, more than 1 million children enter kindergarten unprepared to learn. Research overwhelmingly finds that the first five years of life are the most important when it comes to setting the foundation for a lifetime of learning and success. This is a critical window to change a child’s future.

A monthly gift is the best way to help young children living in under-resourced communities enter kindergarten ready to thrive.

EduBear Adoption DayEducare Chicago, a program of Start Early, recently organized a teddy bear drive! The school received 150 teddy bears, enough bears for all their children and hosted an EduBear Adoption Day to celebrate. At the event, the children listened to a story, crafted a teddy bear bag, and selected a teddy bear of their own to take home!

Thank you to our Start Early Affiliates Board for securing so many teddy bears in less than one week for our EduBear Adoption event. The fundraiser was a success and the children loved going home with their new bears.
