Dear friends,

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, ACCESS received the sad news of a father suddenly passing away in Dearborn, Michigan, due to a heart condition, leaving behind three daughters (ages 13, 11 and 7). The father immigrated to the United States in November of 2022 from Lebanon in search of a better future for his family. He took the responsibility of caring for his young daughters alone while working and awaiting the arrival of their mother. With the unfortunate circumstances expediting the travel process, the mother finally arrived yesterday, January 25, 2023.


** As the father is laid to rest, the future of this family remains uncertain.

Being in a new country with no extended family or means to support themselves has left the mother and the daughters extremely vulnerable. Grieving while caring for three children and worrying about their basic needs is not a burden that can be shouldered by one person. That's why we are asking you today to help ACCESS' efforts to ensure the family members have all the support they need (including rent, furniture, clothes, food, school supplies and other essentials).

Our community has always rallied together in support of our most vulnerable and undoubtedly, we will do the same for this mother and her daughters. One hundred percent of all donations will directly benefit the family. Please give generously today!
