Team, I wouldn’t have believed this if I hadn’t seen the bill text in black and white:

House Republicans have introduced legislation to implement a national 30% sales tax.

This plan would make life so much harder for the regular families I promised to fight for in Congress, which is why I’m going to work hard to make sure it never passes. And I’m asking you to join me, friend.

Will you add your name next to mine and say that you OPPOSE the GOP plan for a 30% national sales tax?

By replacing the income tax with a massive national sales tax, this horrifying GOP plan would raise taxes on 90% of American households.

That means paying 30% more each week for groceries. 30% more for gas. 30% higher costs every time you buy new school supplies, get new clothes, or treat yourself to a night out.

It is simply appalling to give the wealthiest Americans and biggest corporations another enormous tax cut while hiking day-to-day costs for regular Americans by 30%. If you agree with me, friend, please add your name.
