John,

[ [link removed] ]A screenshot of Pramila Jayapal's tweet that reads: Republicans want to
pass a 30% national sales tax. They know poor and working families will
bear the brunt of the cost. They just don’t care.

Just three weeks into their House majority, Republicans have already shown
us their true colors. They've proposed a ludicrous 30% national sales tax
that would impact everything from groceries to gas.

Every day, the GOP makes it clear that they're working on behalf of the
rich and powerful, at the expense of all of the rest of us.

Despite their claims, their tax proposal would disproportionately hurt
working families and provide yet another windfall to the very wealthiest.
Unlike them, our movement is fighting for a country and an economy that
works for everyone. [ [link removed] ]Will you make a $3 contribution

fight off the GOP's ridiculous national sales tax?

We know that our tax system needs to be reformed. To start: the richest
need to pay their fair share. Last year's Inflation Reduction Act included
taxes on large corporations and closed some of the loopholes used by the
richest to avoid paying their fair share.

But our work is far from over: we must continue to find and close all of
the loopholes in our tax code that give unfair breaks to the rich and
powerful.

Republicans have shown us over and over again that they will prioritize
regressive and dangerous policies to appease their wealthy backers instead
of fighting for the 99%.

From day one in Congress, Pramila has pushed for progressive solutions
that will ensure a fair taxation system where those with the least won't
have to foot the bill for those who have the most. She always has and
always will advocate tirelessly for an agenda that works for us all, not
just the one percent.

Pramila while she holds the line against the GOP's regressive economic
policies?
