This is your official reminder 🚨 — our phone swarm of the Texas Lege is starting NOW and we need your help!

Over the past few days, emails and DMs have been pouring in with solid questions about our Phone Swarm. I bet you’re wondering some of the same things, too — so let’s dig in and get you some answers.
Q: “Nancy, why are we calling the Texas Lege? Will they even pick up the phone?”
A: We want to send a powerful message to our TX elected officials this week, John . . . And yes, we hope a staff member does pick up your phone call!
Q: "How do I confirm who my elected representatives are?

A: You can find your elected representatives starting at our 2023 88TH TEXAS LEGE SESSION web portal, here. ([link removed]) In Texas, we’re all represented by one state Representative and one state Senator. Feel free to call one, or the other, or both today and tomorrow!
Q: “I don’t even know what I would say…”
A: If you need some ideas, we’ve prepared a quick + easy script you can follow. But feel free to speak from your heart. After all, this is about making sure your voice is heard!
Hello, my name is ___________ and my zip code is ______. I am calling [Senator name /Representative name] ___________ because Sunday was the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. As a Texas [pick a word that describes you best - mother/father/grandma/friend/voter/etc.] I’m living in a post-Roe world, and I’m scared for my family and our future. This matters to me greatly because of ____________________, and I’d like to know which bills you’ll be supporting this year in the Legislature that will help Texas women get our rights back. Could you let me know? Thanks!
Q: When should I dial?
A: Whenever you’re ready to start dialing to make your voice heard — go for it! When you have two minutes of time today or tomorrow, just give your elected officials a ring. And then you’re done! It’s exactly that easy!
We know one phone call doesn’t seem like a lot—but when we all call, actions like these make a BIG impact. And I just want to say thank you.
