When people learn I’m Livestrong’s CEO, they often tell me they had a yellow wristband years ago, and then ask me what Livestrong is doing now.
As a 3-time cancer survivor, I’m here to tell you that the experience of being diagnosed with cancer is scary, confusing, and leaves many people feeling lost and alone. Livestrong was founded 26 years ago to bring a sense of strength and empowerment to cancer patients, along with real resources to provide relief to them and their loved ones.

Today, we are focused on innovative, cutting-edge solutions to fill the gaps in cancer care. We come to work each day asking the question, “Which everyday cancer problem will we fix today?”
We’re not just about hope. Our legacy is more than a wristband. We are listeners, collaborators, and practical problem solvers improving the everyday lives of anyone affected by cancer.

We offer online resources and personalized 1:1 navigation to support people dealing with challenges a cancer diagnosis brings.

|
We provide fertility services, counseling, and free medications to cancer patients who face risks to fertility.
|
|
We fund innovative nonprofits that are addressing issues important to the cancer community such as mental health, nutrition, and transportation.
|
|
We meet people where they are to empower and educate through programs like Livestrong at the YMCA and Livestrong at School.
|
