My opponent Paul Vallas finally told voters about his “plan” to protect women’s reproductive rights – but when it mattered most, he was silent. Vallas failed to say anything about a woman’s right to choose for 257 days - more than eight months - after the news of the leaked Supreme Court decision. And he claims to be pro-choice? Give me a break.
He couldn’t even be bothered to say anything on Twitter about the horrific overturning of Roe v. Wade and how it threatens women’s fundamental rights… not a single Tweet since that terrible day:

Women in Chicago and all across the country deserve action - not silence. As long as I am mayor, Chicago will remain a safe haven for anyone in need of reproductive care, and I’ll never stop fighting to restore our rights. While Paul Vallas was silent after the fall of Roe, I stood up for access to abortions.
I quickly introduced the Justice for All Pledge to declare that Chicago would be an oasis for abortion in the face of unprecedented attacks on our fundamental freedoms.
And I’ve committed $3.5 million to bolster reproductive healthcare infrastructure and support the influx of patients traveling from states that have banned abortion and other reproductive healthcare services.
Paul Vallas is only talking about reproductive health to score political points after eight months of silence.
