Enough is enough, John.
We are only 26 days into 2023 and already 3,031 people in the United States have died from gun violence, and at least 73 of those deaths have been the result of mass shootings.
Add your name to my petition right now to stop the cycle of gun violence.

This year alone there have been 40 mass shootings in our country — and it’s only January.
No one should live in fear of being shot and killed with a weapon of war while buying groceries, going to work or school, attending a religious service, or going about their daily lives — but this is the reality in the only industrialized country where mass shootings occur on a regular basis.
Congress has the power to act. There are constitutional, common sense ways we can reform our gun laws — starting with universal background checks for gun sales, a policy majority of Americans support.
We can also take federal steps to ban assault weapons and get these weapons of war off our streets.
Let’s take action so that another family isn’t mourning the loss of a brother, sister, mother, or father after another senseless shooting — in Illinois, California, or anywhere else in the country.
Sign my petition now if you want Congress to work to end the epidemic of gun violence across the nation.
