John, there’s still time to tell the Fed: Make climate change the number one priority!
The Federal Reserve is still accepting public input on their draft principles to protect our economy from the climate crisis – but the deadline is coming up quickly.
John -
We’re building momentum and showing no signs of slowing down in our fight for a clean, just, and renewable economy. But our fight is nowhere near over.
Thanks to your continued engagement, we’ve sent thousands of comments to the Federal Reserve about their weak recommendations for banks on the climate crisis. And with your help, we’re working to reach 10,000 comments before our deadline.
At the start of this month, we began our campaign to disrupt the Fed’s comment period by sending our public comments urging the Fed to put people over profits and finally take action for our climate and future. Now we’ve upped the ante and are bombarding the Fed’s comment lines with faxes to ensure they hear us loud and clear.
The only way this will work is if all of us step up to take action. We’re making waves, John, but we need your help to take our efforts to the next level. Will you use our easy, one-click tool to send a fax to the Fed and urge them to take real climate action now? You don’t need a fax machine to complete this action.
The climate crisis poses a grave threat to every aspect of our economy and our everyday lives, which is why our entire banking system needs to divest from the fossil fuel industry and reinvest resources into a clean, just, renewable economy.
We need the Fed to change their current draft principles from recommendations into requirements in order to finally meet the urgency of our ever-growing climate crisis and ensure that financial institutions can finally put people over profits.
Thank you,
Team 350
