John,
Planning is ramping up for Netroots Nation 2023, which is happening July 13-15 at the Chicago Hilton! The session submission process opens next week, so I wanted to send a few important dates to put on your radar:
- Panel submissions open: February 1
- Submission Q&A webinar: February 2, 2 p.m CT [REGISTER]
- Submission Q&A webinar: February 14, 2 p.m. CT [REGISTER]
- Panel submissions close: February 22
- Selection notifications out: Early April
- Agenda released publicly: Early May
Many of you have submitted sessions in the past, so you know how this works. If you haven't done this before and are interested, here's what you should know:
The majority of our content is created by and for our community. Anyone can submit a proposal for a panel or training starting February 1. Once the submission process closes on February 22, subcommittees of community members will score the submissions based on quality, timeliness, diversity, and other factors. Once those scores are tallied, we'll take a holistic look at the submissions to finalize this summer's agenda.
Looking for ways to get involved with Netroots?
And finally, click here to purchase your ticket to attend #NN23. We know that COVID is still a reality, so conference registrations are refundable up to 30 days before the event.
Netroots is truly a community-centered event. I hope you'll consider getting involved by submitting a session proposal or by signing up to volunteer, score submissions, or join on our locals planning group.
Thanks for all you do!
Mary Rickles
