But it’s not all good news. Since we started the countdown, the UK Government has continued to put profits and their own self-interest above people or the planet.
Not only are they refusing to back down on their disastrous decision to open a new coal mine in Cumbria, they’ve also moved ahead with damaging anti-protest and anti-strike laws.
We need to stand up to this short-sightedness, John. It’s time to supercharge our efforts. In the coming weeks, we plan to reach out to more people than ever before to make sure The Big One is a historic event. But the truth is, it takes money.
