DOJ Announces First Indictments of Vandalism, Intimidation for Acts of Terrorism Against Pregnancy Centers
Spencer Brown: The U.S. Department of Justice announced two indictments by a federal grand jury on Tuesday in case where pregnancy resource centers were targeted with vandalism, intimidation, and interference — months after pro-abortion vandals targeted pro-life organizations across the country after a draft of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision leaked. The Justice Department explained that the indictment alleges the defendants “violated the FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) Act by using threats of force to intimidate and interfere with the employees of a reproductive health services facility in Winter Haven because those employees were providing or seeking to provide reproductive health services” and by “intentionally damaging and destroying the facility’s property.” According to DOJ, each defendant would face a maximum of 12 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines up to $350,000 if convicted ( Townhall).

Arkansas Senate Passes Measure Classifying Drag Shows as “Adult” Shows
Associated Press: The Arkansas Senate on Tuesday approved legislation restricting the locations of drag shows by classifying them the same way as strip clubs and adult theaters, despite criticism that the move was overly broad and discriminates against the LGBTQ community. The measure, which also bans drag shows from taking place on public property, now heads to the majority-Republican House. The bill, if enacted, could make Arkansas the first state to place such restrictions on drag shows as they face increased attention from Republican lawmakers and groups ( Associated Press). Sen. Tom Cotton: I’m grateful my friends in the Arkansas legislature are protecting our children from vulgar drag shows. These “performances” should be classified as the adult entertainment they are, and they have no place in schools or libraries. Arkansas’s bill is a model for the country ( Twitter).

California Teacher Boasts About Helping Students Hide Gender Transitions from Parents
Fox News: A California teacher named Olivia Garrison bragged about helping students hide their social transitions from parents Monday. Garrison, a 9th grade history teacher, worked at Del Oro High School located in the Kern High School District. Social transitioning is a first step for transgender children. It entails adopting new names, pronouns, changing their clothing and getting haircuts to match a preferred gender expression ( Fox News). New York Post: “My job, which is a public service, is to protect kids,” Olivia Garrison told the New York Times about helping students socially transition at school. “Sometimes, they need protection from their own parents.” But the issue has become a hot-button issue for parents under President Biden and his administration’s proposed Title IX reforms — which would expand regulations combating sex-based discrimination in schools to include sexual orientation and gender identity. Critics have argued the reforms could overhaul the definition of gender in schools and be used as a weapon to keep parents in the dark ( New York Post).

Mayor Eric Adams Complains Sanctuary Cities Must Take the Brunt of Illegal Immigrants
Julio Rosas: New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) once again took to the airwaves to say Democratic cities who declared themselves to be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants are being stretched thin due to the large number of people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. New York City has had to open a fifth shelter for recent arrivals from the southern border, which is in addition to using hotels and homeless shelters to house people coming from Latin America and even parts of Asia ( Townhall). RNC Research: Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams says “it’s unfair” for big cities “to carry the weight” of illegal immigration and Biden’s open borders — something border communities have dealt with every single day since Biden took office ( Twitter).

Oversight Committee Continues Investigation into Hunter Biden’s Art Dealings
ABC: House Republicans renewed their investigation Wednesday into the art dealings of Hunter Biden, pushing for details on who is purchasing his work as part of the party’s long-promised probe into President Joe Biden and his family. Rep. James Comer, new chairman of the House Oversight Committee, asked for a transcribed interview with Georges Bergès, the art dealer who has been showcasing Hunter Biden’s work in New York and Los Angeles galleries since 2021. He requested communications between the gallery and the White House, citing Republican concerns the younger Biden is trading in on his father’s name ( ABC). Oversight Committee: Who’s buying Hunter Biden’s art? @RepJamesComer is calling on Georges Bergès to provide information about Hunter’s secret art sales. Americans need answers and transparency ( Twitter). Hill: Bergès said in 2021 that Hunter Biden’s paintings could sell for $75,000 to $500,000 ( Hill).

EU Calls US Green Energy Incentives “Toxic”
Wall Street Journal: The already-frantic global competition for green-energy investment escalated Wednesday with the European Union’s competition chief calling massive incentives from the U.S. “toxic,” as the bloc prepares its own countermeasures. The U.S. incentives, included in last year’s Inflation Reduction Act, have spurred companies to rethink where to spend billions of investment dollars ( Wall Street Journal). New York Times: But the biggest source of contention has been new tax credits for clean energy equipment and vehicles made in North America that were part of a sweeping climate and health policy bill that President Biden signed into law last year. European officials have called the measure a “job killer” and expressed fears they will lose out to the United States on new investments in batteries, green hydrogen, steel and other industries. In response, European Union officials began outlining their own plan this month to subsidize green energy industries — a move that critics fear will plunge the world into a costly and inefficient “subsidy war” ( New York Times).

Wall Street Journal: The White House formally announced on Wednesday that it is sending 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, part of a coordinated move in which Germany and other European nations will also send their own tanks to the fight in time for a coming offensive ( Wall Street Journal). Visegrad 24: Biden announces that the U.S. is sending 31 Abrams tanks to Ukraine and 8 recovery vehicles. Ukraine is about to get a serious shipment of tanks from across the world ( Twitter). Proud Elephant: So Biden is perfectly okay with sending 31 military tanks to Ukraine to protect their border, but won’t spend a single dime on our own border ( Twitter)?
