Kevin McCarthy has proven time and time again that he will remain a loyal puppet to Donald Trump – even if it means hurting the people he's meant to protect. So, as he begins his new term as House speaker, we decided to round up some of his most egregious actions from the past few years.

+ He voted against the Respect for Marriage Act, which repeals the antiquated and harmful Defense of Marriage Act. 

+ In response to Donald Trump's notorious phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, McCarthy insisted that there was "nothing that the president did wrong."

+ Throughout 2018, McCarthy opposed efforts to codify the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which benefits over half a million DREAMers in the United States. 

+ After the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, McCarthy wasted no time attempting to spin the situation and defending Trump's response. 

+ After being elected House speaker, McCarthy has said that he will consider expunging one or both of Donald Trump's impeachments. 

+ Late last week, Kevin McCarthy agreed to bring a bill to the floor that would impose a new 30% national sales tax on American families. 

Friend, Kevin McCarthy's record makes it clear that he cares more about political clout than serving working American families. But with the House now under his control, we need to know what top Democrats like YOU think of his actions.
